I love to crochet, there are so many beautiful and useful things that you can make for the home, for apparel and for presents for friends and family from this fun and creative handcraft. I have been yearning, lately, for a camisole with a crocheted yoke. I searched out the internet and my pattern books and found this yoke at:

Crochet Yoke Pattern

I made it up in Clarks Big Ball, 3 Cord, size 30 thread, crocheting with a US size 12 crochet hook. I used a 500 yard ball that was already partly used and was able to finish it off of that ball, so 500 yards of thread should make up the pattern if you should choose to do this project.

Here is a closer look at the crochet:

The camisole is made from batiste, I cut out a piece that was 40 inches around, it is self faced. After finishing the main part of the crochet, it was stitched on to the fabric by hand, then the shoulder straps were crocheted on at the proper location. An elastic waist was put in and snaps were used for the front.

I am very well pleased with my first effort and hope to make a few more camisoles for myself over the next few months.

Thanks for stopping by.
