I learned to make soap several years ago. My favorite type to make is Castile soap, made with olive oil. I stick to a basic recipe, nothing fancy no strange and exotic oils and additions. This is a batch I made for a friend. She said she would like some cucumber soap, so I added pureed cucumbers to the soap when it was near to trace and some Cucumber/Melon fragrance oil, purchased at the craft store. It came out such a pretty color and smells wonderful too. Here is a photo of the soap after it is cut into bars and set to cure. I let my soap cure for several months, the longer the cure the harder the bars. Thank you for visting. [ ^Top ] |
